Creating Your First Alias
Creating secure email aliases with SecureAlias is simple! Follow these steps on your Dashboard:
1. Open the Creation Form
On your main Dashboard, look for the button labelled + New Alias in the top right area.
Clicking this button will reveal the alias creation form.
2. Enter Optional Details
The form has two optional fields to help you organize your aliases:
- Prefix (Optional): You can enter a word or name here (letters, numbers, hyphens allowed). This will appear at the start of your alias, making it easier to recognize (e.g.,
yourprefix.random@...). If left blank, the alias will be purely random (e.g.,random@...). - Description (Optional):Add a note to remind yourself what this alias is for (e.g., "Online Shopping", "Newsletter Signup"). This description is only visible to you on your dashboard.
3. Create the Alias
Once you have entered any desired prefix or description (or left them blank), click the Create Alias button.
Your new alias will be instantly generated and added to your list of active aliases on the dashboard. It will look something like prefix.randompart@alias.secureinseconds.com or randompart@alias.secureinseconds.com.
Important Notes
- The random part of the alias is automatically generated and cannot be chosen.
- You can copy your new alias to the clipboard using the copy icon next to it on the dashboard.
- Check your plan details for any limits on the number of aliases you can create.
