Deleting Your SecureAlias Account

We understand that you might need to delete your SecureAlias account. This action is permanent and irreversible. Please read the following information carefully before proceeding.

Warning: Deletion is Permanent

Once you delete your account, all your aliases, contacts, reply history (if stored), and personal information associated with the account will be permanently erased from our systems. This process cannot be undone, and you will not be able to recover your account or data.

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Log In: Ensure you are logged into the SecureAlias account you wish to delete.
  2. Navigate to Account Settings: Go to your Account Page.
  3. Find the Delete Section:Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" or "Delete Account" section.
  4. Initiate Deletion:Click the "Delete My Account" button.
  5. Confirm Deletion: You will be asked to confirm this action, likely by re-entering your password. This is a final security measure to prevent accidental deletion.
  6. Account Deleted: After confirmation, your account and all associated data will be scheduled for deletion and permanently removed according to our data retention policy.

Consequences of Deletion

  • Loss of Access: You will immediately lose access to your SecureAlias account.
  • Aliases Disabled: All your email aliases will stop working immediately. Emails sent to these aliases will no longer be forwarded or processed.
  • Data Erasure: All account data, including aliases, contact lists, settings, and any stored reply history, will be permanently deleted.
  • Alias Unrecoverability: Deleted aliases cannot be recovered or reused, even if you create a new account.
  • Subscription Cancellation: Any active paid subscription (Pro/Founder) will be cancelled immediately without a pro-rated refund (as per our terms of service).
  • Irreversible: This action cannot be undone. If you wish to use SecureAlias again in the future, you will need to create a new account.
