Managing Your Aliases
SecureAlias gives you control over your aliases after creation. You can temporarily disable (deactivate) or re-enable (activate) them, or move them to the Recycle Bin for later deletion.
Activating & Deactivating Aliases
Deactivating an alias stops emails sent to it from being forwarded to your inbox. This is useful if an alias starts receiving spam or you no longer need it temporarily. Activating reverses this.
How to Activate/Deactivate:
- Go to your Dashboard.
- Ensure you are viewing your "Active Aliases" (this is the default view).
- Find the alias you want to manage in the list.
- Click the toggle switch next to the alias you want to manage. A green toggle indicates the alias is "Active" (forwarding emails), while a gray toggle means it's "Inactive" (not forwarding).
- The status will update immediately. "Active" aliases will have their switch colored green, and "Inactive" aliases will be gray.
Note: Deactivating an alias only stops *new* emails from being forwarded. It does not delete the alias.
Recycling Aliases
If you no longer need an alias permanently, you can move it to the Recycle Bin. Aliases in the Recycle Bin are inactive and scheduled for permanent deletion after 30 days.
